President Donald Trump warned that the truce was on \u201cmassive life support\u201d after Iran reportedly delivered an unacceptable response to Washington\u2019s proposal aimed at ending the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump compared the ceasefire\u2019s condition to a critically ill patient with only a \u201c1% chance of living,\u201d raising fears that tensions in the Middle East could escalate further. Despite the uncertainty, regional markets showed varied reactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Japan\u2019s Nikkei 225 gained 0.19%, while the broader Topix index rose 0.27%. However, South Korea\u2019s Kospi reversed earlier gains and dropped more than 3% after hitting a record high on Monday. The small-cap Kosdaq declined over 4%, while Australia\u2019s S&amp;P\/ASX 200 slipped 0.82%.
