Markets Update:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

U.S. stock futures were nearly flat early Wednesday after rising oil prices and Treasury yields pushed Wall Street lower for a third consecutive session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 14 points, while S&P 500 futures were marginally lower. Nasdaq 100 futures slipped 0.3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asian markets also faced heavy selling. Japan\u2019s Nikkei 225 dropped 2.80%, while the Topix fell 2.18%. South Korea\u2019s Kospi declined 3.59%, and the Kosdaq lost 1.49%. Australia\u2019s S&P\/ASX 200 slipped 1.17%. Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng Index fell 0.96%, while mainland China\u2019s CSI 300 declined 1.25%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wall Street, the Dow dropped more than 400 points, while the Nasdaq Composite fell about 1%, pressured by weakness in technology stocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oil prices added to market concerns. West Texas Intermediate crude climbed above $90 a barrel on Tuesday, reaching its highest level since late July after the U.S. launched additional military strikes on Iran, increasing fears of further escalation in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield reached its highest level since early 2025, intensifying concerns about a broader global bond-market selloff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investors will focus Wednesday on ADP private payrolls, factory earnings and the Federal Reserve\u2019s Beige Book. After the close, earnings are due from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Snowflake and Broadcom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
